“I am free” is a meditation on the thrill of freedom, painted outside (“plein air”), mostly without looking at the page (to capture the true dance of the light and movement in the trees and sky).
Behind the scenes progress picture: painting “I am free” outside at Carlton Gardens, 2021
I used acrylic, gouache, marker, and ink on 320gsm acid free paper, 40.5cm x 29.5cm (16” x 11.5”).
